I am a PhD scholar at the Ashank Desai Centre for Policy Studies, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (India), specializing in energy policy with a focus on grid-connected rooftop solar photovoltaics (GRPV). My research examines the factors influencing clean energy adoption in India.

I hold a B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering and a Master’s in Electric Power Systems. Prior to my doctoral studies, I worked as a Junior Research Fellow at the National Centre for Photovoltaic Research and Education (NCPRE), IIT Bombay. During my PhD, I also completed a policy internship at NITI Aayog, the apex public policy think tank of the Government of India, contributing to national-level energy policy research. At NCPRE, I was involved in the All India Module Reliability Survey 2018, which assessed PV module performance across diverse climatic conditions.

My work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at international conferences, including Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, IEEE PVSC, Springer, and the ISES Solar World Congress. Recent publications address solar PV deployment trends and policy incentives in India, China, and the United States; the financial viability of rooftop PV systems; and the implications of time-of-day tariffs for residential consumers. I serve as a reviewer for Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews.

I have contributed to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching at Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, Pune; the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Mumbai; and the University of Mumbai. Courses I have assisted with include Energy Policy Analysis, Energy Resources, Economics and Environment, Energy Policy of India, and Electrical Circuits and Machines.

In parallel with academic research, I engage in consultancy for industry projects, applying policy and technical insights to address real-world energy sector challenges. I am also committed to community-oriented initiatives that promote awareness and informed decision-making on renewable energy adoption at the grassroots level.

My professional trajectory is grounded in interdisciplinary research, teaching, and knowledge exchange that bridges policy, technology, and social impact. I am currently exploring postdoctoral opportunities that align with these interests, with the aim of continuing to contribute to the development of effective, inclusive, and sustainable energy systems through research, education, and stakeholder engagement.
